Hey there, library lovers!

Just a quick reminder that we’re having a members meeting tomorrow, Sunday, May 18, at 2:30pm at the Northwest Reno Library. We’ll have coloring stuff for kids and snacks for everyone.

We’re going to make time to formulate public comment for the upcoming BCC/LBOT meetings this week and will also have a guide for doing so. Even if you already have your comment prepared, we encourage you to come and share your thoughts!

Speaking of, those meetings are:

  • The BCC meeting on Tuesday, May 20, at 10am, where the commissioners will finally vote on the budget. You can find the agenda here.
  • The LBOT meeting on Wednesday, May 21, at 5:30pm at the Sierra View Library (inside the Reno Town Mall). The agenda is here.

If you’re not able to make it tomorrow and/or to either board meeting, we still encourage you to send in your comments. For the BCC, you can do so via Speak Up Washoe County, linked with the BCC agenda; for LBOT, you can email Siera Schubach at sschubach@washoecounty.gov before 4pm on Tuesday.

We’re always happy to look over public comment if you’d like feedback; email us at info@freedomtoreadnevada.org.

We hope to see you there!
