take the pledge to stand against censorship attempts & for public libraries
Nevada Values are under attack
Like most Americans, we strongly oppose book banning, book challenges, and organized attempts to purge books from library shelves. We also believe in the sanctity of the public library, one of the last third spaces available to all regardless of background, identity, or class.
Libraries serve as cornerstones of our communities and stand for universal values of freedom of expression, freedom of information, and freedom to read. We want to make sure that public libraries remain funded, schools have libraries with adequate collections, resources are available to all, and librarians feel safe and empowered to do their necessary work.
Pledge to stand against censorship and the dismantling of the public library in our communities. By signing your name, you’re joining thousands of Nevada residents who stand for the freedom to read. In return, you can opt-in to membership to keep you posted on upcoming actions.
